IVAR himself was born and raised in Copenhagen into a musically gifted family.

Taking his piano studies with Emil Christensen, Eyvind Møller, Ib Bindel, Friedrich Gürtler, Georg Vasarhelyi, John Damgaard.

Making independent self-tuition for the composition workmanship with particular attention to the Balkans and music of the African continent.

Graduated 1976 from The Royal Academy of Music, Copenhagen. Practising musician with e.g. concert lectures "piano stories". And engagements as a choirmaster, piano teacher, singer and for many years as an organist. Had his own piano business as well.

Composer of varied works from solo- chamber- choral- to symphonic music. First public performance Oct 2004 launched in England. Since then successfully performed in Austria, Norway, Belgium, Italy, Finland, Singapore and the USA.
